WIN a FREE Steps4Kids to Write Modern Manuscript DVD
If you are a teacher in a traditional school, or a home-school, environment you know how difficult it can be to find good curriculum for your students at a reasonable cost. Having homeschooled one child that is now heading off to college and another who has just recently returned to public school I am always on the lookout for good class materials to recommend to my friends and readers to help their home schooling experience as wonderful as can be. Steps4Kids makes that very easy!
Not only will you find Steps4Kids products easy to use but they provide printable product sheets on their product information pages as well for additional information for teachers to use in creating a full and flowing lesson plan. The Steps4Kids FREE printable worksheets are available right on the Steps4Kids web page under the writing templates page.
Please note that the CONTEST being offered here on DJ6ual: An Irish Girl's Blog is for the Steps4Kids to Write Modern Manuscript DVD which is for those who are teaching the D'Nealian® style of printing to their children (students) or who have students in a school district that is using this type of penmanship curriculum. This DVD does not teach the traditional block printing (also known as Zaner-Bloser®).
Product Information: Considered one of the "Top Videos for Students" by Booklist Online (August 2011), the Steps4Kids to Write Modern Manuscript DVD provides instructional help to those teaching children how to print using the D'Nealian® or similar italicized pre-cursive printing approach.

Each demonstration is preceded by a colorful graphic that shows the letter, introduces the letter's sound and sight words to help viewers develop reading skills. Letter are taught in groupings that share common letter strokes. Drawing breaks are interspersed after the groupings to reinforce letter strokes by showing how to draw using select letters. Look2Write™ game breaks are also used whereby the viewer is shown words and asked to identify the word spoken by the narrator to reinforce reading of the words.
